Building capacity is an integral component of KILAF. We believe in improving quality of skills and professionalism while offering the platform to intervene appropriately. Thus, every year, we identify gaps and attempt to mitigate accordingly.
KILAF ’23, for example, is putting up Master Classes to be conducted by renowned Africans.ACTING FOR THE CAMERA has Connie Chiume as the resource person. She’s the legendary Star of Malawi and South Africa, an Actress in Black Panther (Mining Tribe Elder) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Zawavari).  Equally, the veteran and multi-talented Mudi Yahaya, whose works were featured at both the Jewish Museum in New York and at South Africa’s longest-running Independent Art Fair Returns in November 2019, is going to conduct the Master Class on upgrading skills in relation to CINEMATOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHY FOR FILM PRODUCTION. Both sessions will run concurrently from November 24th to 26th and require registration.
